2. Information Collection and Storage (Offline-First Architecture)
GrocoSense is an offline-first application:
- Local Storage: All your grocery checklists, prices, transaction records, and monthly expense entries are stored strictly on your local device (via SQLite/Room database).
- No Cloud Tracking: We do not operate remote servers to store, monitor, or synchronize your personal financial records.
- User Authentication: No user registration, email sign-in, or account creation is required to use the core features of the app.
3. Backup and Restore (JSON Export)
GrocoSense provides an explicit backup and restore mechanism using JSON files:
- When you create a backup, the app generates an unencrypted or standard JSON structured file containing only your locally stored lists and expense data.
- When sharing via the Android system share sheet (e.g., via WhatsApp, email, or cloud drives), the transmission is handled directly by the third-party client you choose. AhmedTech Solutions does not intercept or copy this backup data.
- You retain full ownership and control over where your backup files are transferred or stored.
4. Advertising (Third-Party Services)
The app uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you in order to deliver relevant advertisements:
- Google AdMob: AdMob may collect and process device identifiers, general location data (non-precise), and app interaction metrics in accordance with Google's advertising policies.

- INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Required exclusively to load ads served by Google AdMob and verify network connectivity.

GrocoSense does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
